  17. 8-10 olives

Steps to make to make Veg Lasagne

  1. For white sauce
    Take some butter in a pan
    Add plain flour
    Roast it till the raw smell disappears
    Add milk
    Add mixed herbs oregano and chilli flakes
    Add salt
  2. For red sauce
    Blanch 5 tomatoes
    Peel and deseed them
    Make a puree
    Saute the garlic cloves in butter
    Add 1 finely chopped onion
    Add the puree
    Add Red chilli flakes oregano red chilli powder and torn basil leaves
  3. Vegetable Saute
    In a pan add some butter add grated garlic ginger paste to it
    Add the chopped Broccoli bell peppers and boiled sweet corn kernels
    Add some salt oregano and chilli flakes
    Do not overcook
    Retain the crispiness of the vegetables
  4. For the sheets
    Prepare plain flour dough adding salt and butter
    Roll into large roundlets on a rolling board. Cut out the edges to give it a rectangular form
    Make 6-8 such rectangular sheets
    Blanch in water till they soften
    Keep aside
  5. Assembly
    Preheat a pan for 5 mins
    Add the red sauce layer at the base
    Spread a layer of the white sauce
    Place the lasagna sheets above it
    Sprinkle a generous layer of vegetables
    Add a thick layer of grated cheddar cheese
    Once again place the lasagna sheets
    Spread both the sauces layer wise above it
    Once again lay the vegetables
    Sprinkle cheese generously over it
    Garnish with jalapeno olives and torn basil leaves
  6. Cover the pan and let it cook slowly around 15 to 20 minutes
    after 20 minutes check with the 4 if the central portion is cooked.
    If the fork comes out clean means the baking is complete
    Switch off the gas
    Let it cool for another 15 to 20 minutes
    Use a knife and fork to make pieces
    It is now ready to be served hot
